A cash in fee is what a wallet, a bank or an outlet takes for loading money into GCash, Maya or GrabPay, and it is separate from anything on the 188JILI cashier screens. Wallet fees are only one half of what a payout or a deposit costs, which the cash out fee overview lays out alongside the casino’s own charges. Every figure below is quoted from the wallet’s own help page, so you can match it against the app before you load a peso.
GCash cash in fees by route
GCash’s help article on cash in fees lists a separate price for each route, and the right choice depends on how much you load in a month.
| Route | Fee as GCash states it |
|---|---|
| Linked bank via InstaPay Cash In, BPI | PHP 15 |
| Linked bank via InstaPay Cash In, UnionBank | PHP 10 |
| Online banking via InstaPay or PESONet | Handling fees may apply |
| Over the counter | Free for up to PHP 8,000 per month, then 2% on the amount over |
| PayPal | 1% of the cash in amount from 7 March 2026 |
| Payoneer | Free |
| Remittance | Free |
| GCash Pera Outlet | Suggested 1%, final fee set by each outlet, minimum PHP 100 |
The free over-the-counter allowance resets on the 1st day of each month. GCash gives its own sum: cash in PHP 7,000 on 1 May and it is free; cash in PHP 1,100 on 5 May and PHP 100 sits over the limit, so the fee is PHP 2 (PHP 100 at 2%).
Maya cash in fee at outlets
Maya’s help centre says some over-the-counter locations charge a convenience fee worth 2-3% of your total cash in amount. If your total cash in for the month does not exceed ₱8,000, Maya gives a 2% rebate voucher that you claim in your wallet under Vouchers, and amounts above ₱8,000 are no longer eligible.
The article’s own example is a month of ₱9,000: the rebate is ₱160 (2% of ₱8,000) and the convenience fee on the remaining ₱1,000 is ₱20 to ₱30. The same page shows the update date, so read it in the Maya help centre if you need the current wording.
GrabPay cash in fee and routes
Grab’s help centre lists the ways to top up a GrabPay wallet: Visa or Mastercard cards, online banking via InstaPay or PESONet, e-wallets via InstaPay, a QR code under Receive, cryptocurrencies, and over-the-counter partners such as 7-Eleven CLiQQ, SM, Robinsons and Cebuana Lhuillier. Cards carry a small 2% convenience fee for most card types, which Grab calls non-refundable, and your card issuer may add its own.
Grab also states the wallet’s cash in limits. A Basic wallet has a daily limit of PHP 25,000 and a monthly limit of PHP 50,000; a Premium wallet has PHP 100,000 daily and PHP 250,000 monthly, and every method except InstaPay has a minimum of PHP 200. Read what the Grab wallet is for what that balance can be used for.
Cash in through another wallet
Grab lists GCash and Maya among the e-wallets that can fund a GrabPay top-up via InstaPay. The sending side has a fee of its own: GCash’s help page puts a PHP 10 fee on an InstaPay transfer to a local bank or e-wallet, and moving GCash to GrabPay goes through that route step by step. The limit that applies to the sending wallet is on the GCash wallet limit table page.
Fees against limits: a worked comparison
Suppose you plan to load PHP 5,000 once in a month. The figures below use only the prices on this page, and your outlet may print its own.
| Route | Fee on PHP 5,000 | You receive |
|---|---|---|
| GCash over the counter, first load of the month | PHP 0 | PHP 5,000 |
| GCash, BPI linked InstaPay | PHP 15 | PHP 5,000 |
| GrabPay card at 2% | PHP 100 | PHP 5,000 |
The GrabPay line is plain arithmetic: 2% of PHP 5,000 is PHP 100. The wallet’s own screen shows the exact figure before you confirm, and the Maya article above is the reference for outlet fees.
Loading a wallet for casino play
A wallet top-up is only a step in your own account; the casino deposit is a separate action. GCash’s help centre states that all licensed gaming top-up and withdrawal services were removed from GCash effective 16 August 2025, and GrabPay’s terms list gambling among restricted transactions. For that reason a 188JILI deposit starts from the lobby’s own deposit screen after you log in, and you follow the channel and receiving details it shows at that time. The lobby’s footer row Paraan ng Pagbayad shows the GCash, PayMaya (Maya) and GrabPay logos, and the casino rails are compared on the GCash casino payment page and the Maya casino payment page.
