GCash to GrabPay is a wallet-to-wallet move that Grab’s own cash-in page describes, and it costs one fee on the GCash side. If you are comparing what wallets charge to move money around, the cash out fee comparison puts every rail side by side. This page covers only the GCash and Grab steps, using the two companies’ own help pages, and ends with where a 188JILI deposit really starts.

What the GCash to GrabPay route is

Grab’s help page on cashing in lists two e-wallets as supported sources through InstaPay: GCash and Maya. InstaPay is the real-time transfer scheme that the Bangko Sentral describes as moving funds almost instantly, around the clock, up to PHP 50,000 per transaction.

Before you start

Run through this short list first, so the transfer does not stall halfway.

  1. Open GrabPay in the Grab app and confirm the wallet is activated. Grab’s set-up page says activation starts at Payment, then Activate GrabPay Wallet.
  2. Check your GrabPay level. Basic and Premium have different daily and monthly cash-in caps, listed further down.
  3. Check your GCash balance covers the amount plus the PHP 10 fee. As an example, sending PHP 1,000 means PHP 1,010 leaving GCash.
  4. Look at your GCash limits in its own table, because an outgoing cap can stop the send before Grab’s side matters.

Send from GCash with the InstaPay route

Follow these steps in order. The Grab side comes from Grab’s cash-in page and the GCash side from GCash’s page on transferring to local banks or e-wallets.

  1. In the Grab app tap Payment on the bottom navigation bar.
  2. Tap Cash In, then tap Online banking with InstaPay.
  3. Choose the e-wallet route that Grab shows you, and follow the instructions it gives for the other app.
  4. Open GCash and tap Transfer, then Local.
  5. Enter the amount and the receiving details Grab gave you, tap Send Money, review the details and tap Confirm.

The QR route

Grab also lists a QR route. In the Grab app tap Payment, then Receive, and Grab shows a QR code that external banking apps and e-wallets under InstaPay can scan. On the GCash side the transfer page offers Scan/Upload Bank QR under Transfer, then Local. You scan, the details fill in, you enter the amount and tap Send Money.

What the transfer costs

The only price on this route is on the GCash side. GCash’s page says “A PHP 10 fee applies per transaction” for InstaPay transfers to local banks and e-wallets, and notes that from 4 July 2026 InstaPay transfers are lowered to PHP 10. Grab’s cash-in page prints a 2% convenience fee for most card cash-ins and prints no such fee for e-wallets via InstaPay. A failed GCash bank transfer returns the full amount, fees included, to your GCash wallet.

GrabPay limits that cap the transfer

Per monthPHP 50,000PHP 250,000
InstaPay maximum shownPHP 25,000 per dayPHP 50,000 per transaction

Grab’s summary lines and its table disagree on the InstaPay row, so plan below the lower number. If you hit a cap, you cannot make payments or transfers until it resets. Maya users can read their own caps on the Maya wallet limit page.

If the money does not show up

Grab says to wait 15 to 30 minutes for a bank cash-in that went through but is not showing, then close and reopen the app. If it is still missing, contact Grab support with proof of payment. The page on a pending transaction lists how long InstaPay and PESONet take and when to file a GCash ticket.

Where a casino deposit starts

Moving money between your own wallets is separate from paying a casino. A 188JILI deposit starts at the lobby’s own deposit screen after you log in, never from inside a wallet app, and you follow the channel and receiving details it shows. Read the GrabPay wallet facts for what Grab’s terms say about gambling, and the GCash casino reference page and GrabPay casino reference page for each rail’s data. For the lobby’s side of withdrawals, see the reading a minimum withdrawal.
